A fun, family-friendly and interactive day out, Abbey House Museum lets you travel back in time to Victorian Leeds on their 19th Century street, and discover new things about an intriguing social history. Located just outside the city centre in tranquil but also accessible grounds, it’s a perfect and constructive way to spend your day.

Wander the recreated Victorian streets of Leeds and enter the enchanted shops and houses to discover what life was like in the 1850s. Explore the Childhood Galleries to see how kids spent their hours in a time where televisions and Playstations were unimaginable, and marvel at 19th Century dolls houses and toys. There’s plenty to do and see, and it’s all as educational as it is entertaining!

Abbey House Museum has a huge range of family activities, from dressing up to special tours and much more. Take a break in the cafe and then step outside to use the children’s play area or wander over to the famous Kirkstall Abbey and explore those stunning, hallowed grounds!
