Beat the blizzards with 7 cosy places in Leeds City Centre
Just when you thought you saw the last of it, it’s back again. The dreaded cold weather is back with vengeance this January in the form of snow, ice and all that jazz – but luckily, we have got you covered with 7 cosy places for you to take shelter.
1) Out of the Woods
Near Water Lane we have the lovely Out of the Woods, who are sure to make you feel nice and cosy. Whether it be with their beautiful interior (like the lights pictured above), their amazing menu or their great custom – Out of the Woods is a winner.
2) Kapow Coffee, Thornton’s Arcade
Kapow Coffee in Thornton’s Arcade is the perfect place to reside from the cold weather. Though the arcade is inside anyway, Kapow has 3 floors that you can explore – all the better with a cup of great tasting coffee.
3) Friends of Ham
Chucking it down on your way to the train station? Stop what you’re doing and retreat to Friends of Ham and treat yourself with some fine wine. The place has a great atmosphere that is sure to make you forget about the cold.
There’s nothing better to warm you up like a brew and a proper hearty breakfast – which Wapentake delivers. The Yorkshire inspired cafe warms you up with great food and a bit of Northern pride.
5) Cross Keys
Fire baby, fire! The Cross Keys do amazing comfort food that will heat you up… but if not, they have an amazing wood burning fire that you can snuggle round with a nice pint – sorted!
6) Lazy Lounge
If there’s one thing that will sort you out… it’s alcohol, and for that you should go to Lazy Lounge. The cosy interior as well as the finest gin is a certain to warm you up and get your blood pumping.
7) Waterlane Boathouse
A great little gem for you to visit is Waterlane Boathouse. Their food is amazing with hot wood fired pizzas that are a guaranteed winter warmer, a plus is that they have 50% off during January too. So another little perk for you to enjoy when it’s miserable!
