FINE at fettle: the café that changes from day to night
If you don’t know about fettle, then you are missing out. The Scandinavian inspired café which is nestled on the beautiful Great George Street, is the love child of Kamil and Simon – who wanted to create a café that has an essence that completely reflects them.
They wanted to make a place where they would like to go on their days off – a relaxed environment for both customers and staff, good quality food that has been locally sourced and somewhere where people are happy.
Though the boys at fettle have got something new up their sleeve, with the success of their café during the day they want to continue it into the evening on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays – which is where they bring you “FINE at fettle”. The evening menu will start from 6pm and end at 10pm, with last orders at 9.30pm.
The evening aims to keep the relaxed vibe that fettle café has, but a little bit smarter. There will be different music played, a different table setting, dimmed lights and a table service, as well as a different menu for the evening.
Their menu caters for everybody, they wanted it to be accessible and showcase equality so they focused on making everything vegan and gluten free based, with the option for people to add meat to the dishes if they require, instead of those who don’t having to remove it.
As they only focus on using local produce, their menu is small and concise in order to ensure that quality. The menu for both FINE at fettle and fettle café follow this ethos as they believe in quality over quantity and want to ensure customers get the best food possible, each time and every time. You can view the menu online here and let your mouth water a little.
There is no alcohol licence meaning that you would have to bring your own, but as Simon says (the owner, not the children’s game) – “This is a place where you can bring your favourite bottle of wine and just enjoy your evening.”
So head on down to fettle on Great George Street for an evening of good food, in a good environment with good company. To find out more about fettle, have a look at their profile here…
