Stockdales of Yorkshire opened its doors for the first time in September 2015. Situated on South Parade, it aims to bring together a deep understanding of agriculture and food service to deliver a truly memorable culinary experience – the way steak should be done, done exceptionally well.

Here, serving a steak is not just about the pleasure of eating, but the culmination of the perfect Yorkshire process; the welfare of the animal, the care of the farmer, the diligence of the preparation, and, of course, the skill of the chef.

Set within the old Pearl Assurance building, the stylish wood and leather interior compliments the high ceilings and arched windows. Below ground level, an open kitchen allows you to observe the chefs preparing your dish, and here you’ll find an intimate private dining room for that special occasion. A dry-aging fridge holds a selection of choice cuts of local beef to develop flavour, which are then cooked on a Josper Grill – a 100% charcoal fuelled indoor grill, reaching temperatures over 500ºC, for a truly unique and rich flavour. The melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu beef has to be tried to be believed.

Aside from the number of steak options, there’s a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes from the A La Carte menu; including vegetarian and gluten-free options, plus an unforgettable Sunday Roast. With an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list, there is sure to be something perfect for you whether you’re after a first class dining experience or just stopping in for drinks.
