Yorkshire Dance

Champions of dance in Yorkshire

Based in central Leeds, Yorkshire Dance champions the value of dance in Yorkshire. A charitable organisation, Yorkshire Dance assists in the development of dance at a local level, in order to create new and exciting and artistic opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to see, make and take part in.

First and foremost, Yorkshire Dance works with artists to raise local standards, whether they be in teaching, choreographic development or community practice. Increasing the knowledge and understanding of dance amongst its followers, the charity seeks to create a community of dance that highlights the importance of the creative process, as well as the appreciation of performance.

On top of that, Yorkshire Dance are committed to fostering creativity and originality, a commitment that keeps their annual programme as fresh and as innovative as possible. These events are not to be missed- a true source of raw dance in Leeds.

By visiting and contributing to Yorkshire Dance, you can ensure that the organisation can continue to run free dance classes for young people, offer cultural activities for adults, provide support for emerging artists, and carry on with every other incredible thing that they do.
